The past holiday week has been hectic and filled with mixed emotions. I got to spend time with family that I haven’t seen in a few years so I was beyond happy. We spent time laughing and reminiscing for many hours. Then, the day before Christmas eve, my dad called me with sad news that my Uncle passed away that day. My Uncle has been battling cancer for the past two years. He fought so hard and is one of the strongest people I know. He is also has the kindest heart and is the biggest teddy bear. My fondest memories growing up were Easters with my Aunt and Uncle and summers in Indiana with them. So, the holidays were bitter sweet. Knowing that he is at rest and not hurting anymore gives us some peace.
